Remote Voice Reporter
Typical Applications

Alarm Pharmaceutical Storage Building, Merck & Company, Inc.
Problem: Merck had drugs, valued at several million dollars, stored in temporary refrigerated trailers. Maintenance personnel must alerted should the temperature rise above a set point.

Solution: The Datrax 66 Remote Voice Reporter was installed in each trailer. The Key 66 was programmed to dial from one to twelve numbers to alarm a high temperature or power failure. The alarm may be acknowledged from any touch tone telephone and this would silence the Voice Reporter. If the alarm condition was not corrected within one hour, the Voice unit will again begin its dialing sequence.

Alarm Critical Pressure Points, West Texas Natural Gas
Problem: West Texas has 14 pressure points that must maintained above certain critical values. The Gas Control Center was not staffed at night or on weekends.

Solution: Key installed a Domino 66B Remote Voice Reporter at each pressure point. The unit was programmed to automatically dial on alarm in the following sequence: Gas Control Center, home of operator on call, beeper, and finally an answering service. Some locations required a large investment to install a standard telephone line. These locations were connected by a Cellular telephone circuit.

Access Gate Station Data From any Location: Madison Gas & Electric
Problem: A means was needed to read an orifice meter station pressure, differential, flow rate, and accumulate from any touch tone telephone. The City and the gas supplier personnel would have access to this data without the need for any interface equipment.

Solution: The Datrax 66A Remote Voice Reporter was well suited for this application. Gas flow was calculated by the 66A, plus automatic dial alarms were implemented.
